I’ve just uploaded some new videos, you can find them in the featured section of Reels. I will also be, very soon, uploading more archival footage from my companies past. A lot has been going on and I just haven’t had time to blog. The first video uploaded is not for my company, but a So Ill Film Club entry. Since I edited it and spent time lighting the damn thing I thought it could be used for Production 1, and there is another funny video that goes with it. Very low quality because I used my laptop to export it, and it has none of my presets for vimeo. http://vimeo.com/39520277
The other two videos put up are some old commercials I did for the Daily Egyptian newspaper. The were never actually used or completed before, but I liked the ideas in them and really wanted to put them up. Soon I will be putting up some old promo reels for my work, and I’m really excited about doing that because it showcases more of my style of work than styles I am paid to emulate.
The company is really starting to get rolling now. I’m exporting the big Solar Project I’ve been working on for almost a year and now moving on to knew things. I know I already said this, but there were some changes and a lot of re-exporting (like changing the title of the whole thing :-/ It’s strange to look back on when everyone left the for L.A. and I went to Graduate school for a year whilst my child was born and running the company as a part time thing. It’s great to get back in it and really work on things and learn, but I feel I have a lot of catching up to do and really need to prove my self to someone.
As of late a lot of job potential has come my way and I’m really wanting to push it to a new level. To do this I’ve been talking to some people I know and trying to get them involved if they are interested. First off I spoke to Andrew Jackson; an old war buddy from school and feature film work- and the V.P. of So Ill Film Club. You can see him get hit with a chair in my Action Video, check out his site. http://vimeo.com/38479455
I also met with Aaron Thompson who works locally at WSIL TV3 as a graphic person. We have know each other since high school, but the dweeb doesn’t have a site so that’s all I can show you.
Then I met with an award winning editor who I have a great amount of interest in because he has a style and interests similar to mine. His name is Julian Milo . He said he would be in for editing with my company, so if things do get busy I got a part time guy who I’m interested in knowing.
I also brought back in Pablo Tobon for graphic and animation work. He has worked with me before and has a lot of talent. http://vimeo.com/39513402
Now to Rule Southern Illinois video production Mu ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!
